Donations

How can I donate to Al Saira Welfare Foundation?
You can donate via bank transfer (UBL). Visit our Bank Details page for account information. After transferring, please send your payment screenshot to our WhatsApp for confirmation.
Is 100% of my donation used for children?
Yes. Every rupee you donate goes directly to the children in our care — food, shelter, education and medical treatment. We do not deduct any administrative overhead from donations.
Can I donate monthly?
Absolutely. Monthly donations are the most impactful way to support us. You can set up a recurring bank transfer or contact us on WhatsApp to arrange a monthly bank standing order.
Will I get a donation receipt?
Yes. After you confirm your payment via WhatsApp, our team will send you an official donation receipt within 24 hours. This can be used for your personal records.
Can I donate in foreign currency (USD, GBP, etc.)?
Yes. International donors can donate via wire transfer to our bank account. Please contact us on WhatsApp or email for the bank details needed for international transfers.
Is my donation eligible for tax benefits?
Al Saira Welfare Foundation is a registered non-profit. Please contact us for documentation. Tax exemption status depends on the applicable laws of your country.

Sponsorship

How does child sponsorship work?
When you sponsor a child, your monthly contribution covers all their needs — food, shelter, education and healthcare. You will receive regular updates including progress reports, photos and stories about your sponsored child.
How much does it cost to sponsor a child?
Full sponsorship is PKR 5,000 per month. Partial sponsorship starts from PKR 2,500 per month. Visit our Sponsor a Child page for all options.
Can I communicate with the child I sponsor?
Our team will provide you with regular progress updates and reports. For your privacy and the child's privacy, direct communication is managed through our care team.
Can I sponsor more than one child?
Yes. Many of our generous supporters sponsor multiple children. Please contact us on WhatsApp to discuss multiple sponsorship arrangements.
How long is the sponsorship commitment?
We ask for a minimum 6-month commitment, but the longer you sponsor, the bigger the impact. Many sponsors stay connected for years and watch the children grow and succeed.

Zakat & Islamic Giving

Can I give my Zakat to Al Saira Welfare Foundation?
Yes. The orphaned and destitute children in our care are among the most eligible recipients of Zakat according to Islamic scholars (Fuqara and Masakeen). Use our Zakat Calculator to calculate your obligation.
What is the difference between Zakat, Sadaqah and Fitrana?
Zakat is an obligatory 2.5% annual payment on eligible wealth. Sadaqah is voluntary charity at any time. Fitrana (Sadaqah al-Fitr) is paid before Eid al-Fitr. All three types are welcomed and fully utilised for the children.
Can I pay Fitrana / Sadaqah al-Fitr through Al Saira?
Yes. Please contact us before Eid and we will ensure your Fitrana reaches the children in time. WhatsApp us to arrange this.
Is my Zakat used specifically for the most needy children?
Yes. Zakat funds are tracked separately and used exclusively for the essential needs of destitute children in our care — food, medicine and basic shelter. We do not mix Zakat with other funds.
